Just a few days before Christmas, we received wonderful organic t-shirts from KLT works. You can have a look at one of them below. Cute isn't it? The cat is a screen print of a thread drawing made by Kristin from KLT Works. We also got an owl. The kids love the designs when they chose them on KLT's website and now they love wearing them!

Quelques jours avant Noël, nous avons reçu de superbes t-shirts bio de KLT Works. Vous pouvez l'admirer ci-dessous. Il est superbe n'est-ce pas ? Il s'agit d'un sérigraphie réalisée à partir d'un dessin au fil réalisé par Kristin de KLT Works. Les enfants les admiraient sur le site de KLT Works, et maintenant ils adorent les porter!

I made an organic wool duvet cover for my oldest one. Houses in the San Francisco area are poorly insulated and winter nights can be really chilly and the wool cover I made for him last year was definitively not enough. The envelop is made out of organic cotton sateen (GOTS certified). Is is so incredibly soft and warm that I got a special order from his baby brother. LOL

J'ai aussi fait une couette de laine bio pour mon grand. Dans la région de San Francisco, les maison sont très mal isolées et les nuits d'hiver sont très fraîches et la couverture de laine que je lui avais confectionnée n'était vraiment pas suffisante. L'enveloppe est en satin de coton bio certifié GOTS. Elle est tellement douce est chaude que son petit frère en a déjà commandée une pour lui. MDR

GOTS is in the air! Y'a du GOTS dans l'air !

Yes, there is a lot going on at the moment. I take advantage of the "free" time left by two kids in preschool to make plenty of things I had in mind. 

Eh bien oui, ca bouge ne ce moment. Je profite d'avoir les deux enfants scolarisés pour créer plein de choses que j'avais en tête.

Let's start with the big news! Both the organic cotton velour and the organic sateen fabrics used for PurePixie's sleep sacks are GOTS certified! Why GOTS? This is because GOTS certification is way stricter. It doesn't only certifies that the fibers were grown organically, it watches also the manufacture of the fabric and make sure that it is ecological and socially responsible. That's pretty reassuring isn't it?

Je vais commencer par la grande nouvelle. Le velour et le satin de coton utilisé dans les turbulettes PurePixie sont désormais certifiés bio GOTS. Pourquoi GOTS ? Parce que c'est la certification la plus stricte. Elle ne se contente pas de certifier la culture, elle regarde tout le processus de production du tissus et permet de s'assurer qu'il est fabriqué de manière responsable écologiquement et socialement. C'est plutot rassurant, non ?

Talking about security,  what is more reassuring than see your child sleep on GOTS certified sheets? I just made organic cotton sateen crib sheets, that you can already find in my shop. Because they are made our of a woven fabric, they are way easier to put on than jersey sheets. You won't be afraid to unravel them by stretching them. These sheets are also incredibly soft and will get softer and softer as you wash them. My kids love them.

Et parlant de se rassurer, quoi de plus rassurant que de voir dormir son enfant sur un drap certifié GOTS ? Je viens juste de fabriquer un drap housse en satin de coton bio pour lit d'enfant que vous pouvez trouver, dès maintenant dans ma boutique. Il est beaucoup plus facile a mettre que les draps en jersey qu'il faut souvent tellement étirer qu'on a peur qu'ils ne s'errailent a chaque fois. Ce drap de satin bio est incroyablement doux au toucher et deviendra toujours plus doux au fil des lavages. Mes enfants l'adorent. 

And since I was making some new stuff, I also made a Valentine gift bag for the reusable organic cotton facial pads. Happy Valentine!!!

Le temps que j'y etais, j'ai aussi fait une version St Valentin des tampons à démaquiller bio et réutilisables. Joyeuse St Valentin !!!

Recycle and Reuse On recycle et on réutilise

My kids love to pretend play being the mailman. They were already playing with junk mail, but they were missing a bag. Here it is! I made it out of a pair of pants of their dad, that was beyond repair. It is way from being perfect, but they love it. They like the repurposed little pocket in the front where they can hide their little treasures.

Mes enfants aiment beaucoup jouer au facteur. Ils jouaient beaucoup avec des enveloppes publicitaires, mais il leur manquait une sacoche. C'est chose faite. Je leur ai confectionné un sacoche dans un pantalon (très) usagé de leur papa. Elle n'est pas parfaite, mais elle rempli très bien son office. Et puis ils adorent la poche où ils peuvent cacher leurs petits trésors. :)

My kids still spend a lot of time playing on the floor and their pants suffer a lot. Because I don't like to through away a nice pair of pants even with a hole on both sides, I decided to alter it. I already published an example here.

Les enfants passent toujours autant de temps à jouer à genoux et les pantalons souffrent beaucoup. Comme je n'aime pas jeter un joli pantalon avec un trou à chaque genou et bien je répare. Je vous en avais déjà montré un exemple ici.

Something NEW to celebrate the new year...

A brand new sleep sack!!! This one is gender neutral for those who want to make sure that they will be able to reuse it with the next child. And yes, you've probably noticed it already. I'm a lot into owls at the moment. They are so cute. Don't you think so?

Une nouvelle turbulette!!! Cette fois-ci, il s'agit d'un modèle unisexe pour ceux et celles qui souhaite qu'elle puisse servir pour les enfants suivants. Et oui, vous l'avez surement noté, j'aime beaucoup les chouettes en ce moment. Elles sont tellement mignones, ne pensez-vous pas ?
